This is a demonstration report. Meridian is a fictional company and every figure is illustrative. It exists only to show the format, depth and metric coverage of a Zmist & Copy monthly performance report on a sales call โ€” it is not a real client and contains no real client data.

Key Insights

What worked

  • Organic hit a new high: 3,890 sessions (+17.9% vs July), the 6th straight month of growth โ€” up 214% since we started in March (1,240 โ†’ 3,890).
  • The head term broke through: spend management software (vol 2,400) entered the top 10 for the first time at #7, and the cluster added two new #1s (expense management for finance teams, procurement software for mid-market).
  • AI visibility reached 22.4% โ€” now the #2 most-cited brand in the category, up from 4.1% in March when Meridian appeared in no AI answers at all.
  • Record pipeline: 14 MQLs, 6 SQLs and 8 demos booked โ€” and organic is now the #1 lead source (8 of 14 MQLs), overtaking Direct for the first time.
  • Lead magnets up to 153 downloads (from 118), led by the new "2026 State of Spend Management" report at 64.
  • LinkedIn reach grew 22% (18,400 impressions) with +210 new followers โ€” the strongest follower month of the engagement.

What to watch

  • Direct traffic dipped 6.2% (3,210 โ†’ 3,010). Total is still up because organic, referral and social all grew โ€” but brand/direct is worth keeping an eye on.
  • One ranking slipped: ap automation software (vol 1,900) fell #4 โ†’ #9 after a competitor refreshed their comparison page โ€” the biggest single-keyword move against us this month.
  • LinkedIn engagement rate eased to 4.0% (from 4.4%) โ€” more reach, proportionally slightly less engagement.
  • Two high-converting comparison pages remain in draft ("Meridian vs. Cashflow HQ", "Spend Policy Templates"), carrying into September.

The opportunity

  • Push spend management software from #7 to page-1 prominence. The 2026 Buyer's Guide already ranks and is the top AI-cited page โ€” one optimization pass is the highest-leverage move available.
  • Recover ap automation software by shipping the drafted "Meridian vs. Cashflow HQ" page, which targets the same buyer the competitor just captured.
  • Turn AI retrieval into AI recommendation. The Buyer's Guide is retrieved heavily; sharpening its "best spend management software for [segment]" framing is what converts retrieval into a named recommendation.
